MRS. NANCY LUCINDA TIDWELL

Mrs. Nancy Lucinda Tidwell died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie McCay, on Route 1, Remlap, Thursday afternoon, June 12th. “Aunt Cinda” was seventy-four years of age on May 28th, and was the widow of the late Asberry Tidwell. She had been in ill health for some time, but was not confined to her bed all the time. Until recently she made her home with another daughter, Mrs. Mary Robinette, on Route 1, Remlap. Other daughters surviving are Mrs. Lila Calvert, of Route 1, Cleveland, and Mrs., Bessie Evans, of Route 1, Oneonta. She is also survived by five sons, J.B., Harley C., Grover E., and E. Clate, all of Route 1, Remlap, and A.W., of Route 1 Cleveland; and five brothers, Rev. L.T. Fendley, of Oneonta, Waddie Fendley, of Jasper, Ga., J.C. Fendley, of Georgia, and Beman Fendley, of Route 2, Pinson; forty-six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Pine Bluff Baptist Church, where Mrs. Tidwell had been a member for forty-two years. Revs. J.C. Calvert, J.A. Smallwood, E.T. Jean and Ira Tidwell tool part in the last rites. Robinette, of Oneonta had charge of burial.
