Bass

BASS, Fletcher J. (Billy Joe), age 70, a resident of Georgiana died Friday, March 10, 2006. He was wonderful husband and daddy, a loyal friend and he loved people. He loved his family, friends and his church family dearly. Glory to the Father and to Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He is now resting in Jesus in his Heavenly home.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Sunday, March 12, 2006 from Love's Way Methodist Church with Ministers Frank Hyles and Earl Bridges officiating. Burial in Love's Way Cemetery, with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Imogene Cook Bass, Georgiana; daughter: Cathy (Sam) Cates, Ft. Deposit; two sons: Mike (Trish) Ball, Georgiana and Stephen (Ginny) Bass, Lincoln; sister: Sarah Gay, Midland City, AL; grandchildren: Cody Burkett, Carmen Bozeman, Caitlin Bozeman, Bill (Allison) Cates, Ben (Courtney) Cates, Jamie Bass and Jacob Bass. Great grand daughter: Hanna Grace Cates.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Donnie Gay, Ronnie Bass, Keith Mims, Tony Bridges, Gary Bridges and Bruce Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers will be Cooper Mims, Judson Garner, Bill Betterton, Bryant Blackmon, Charles Blackmon, Lennie Beckler, Charles Williams and the entire Congregation of Love's Way Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Love's Way Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Annette Kelley, 1393 Starlington Road, Georgiana, AL 3603. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 P.M. until funeral time at the church.

BOUTWELL, Mrs. Gwendolyn Sampley, age 54, a resident of Honoraville, AL, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 in a Montgomery hospital. Branum

BRANUM, Mr. Rastus, 82, a resident of Greenville died Saturday, January 7, 2006 in Fairhope, AL. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2006 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Bradford officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park. Mr. Branum was a veteran of World II and Korea where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Visitation will be at Harrison Funeral Home, Monday from 1:30 until 3 PM. Mr. Branum is survived by his wife, Jewel Head Branum, Greenville, AL; daughter, Diana Branum Miller, Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Matthew Branum (Elizabeth) Miller, Daphne, AL, Laurin Diana (Brian) Karadimos, Fairhope, AL; great-grandchild, Logan Branum Miller, Daphne.

Parker

PARKER, Mrs. Betty Ruth, 73, a resident of Millbrook and formerly of Mobile, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 am, Saturday, April 16, 2005 from the Community of Christ Church, McKenzie, AL, with Elder Richard Dour officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include: husband, Wilson R. Parker, Millbrook; daughter, Rhonda Overton, Millbrook; four sons, Paul Wingard, Daphne, Oliver Wingard, Houston, TX, Dale Wingard, Mobile, and Barry Wingard, Bonham, TX; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 pm until 8 pm at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana. The body will lie in state at the church for 1 hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery Baptist Hospice.

PETTIE, Roland Earl, 57, a resident of Georgiana died Friday, April 15, 2005. Mr. Pettie was Principal of Georgiana High School for many years after being the school's head coach for many years. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, from the Georgiana High School auditorium with Rev. Curtis Williams officiating. Burial in Brooks Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include wife, Carolyn Pettie, Georgiana; son, Brian R. Pettie, Birmingham; two stepsons, Monte T. Bass, Troy, and Ronald J. Bass, Greenville; father, Roland Elmore Pettie, McKenzie. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. PHELPS, Mrs. Vera J., age 71, a resident of Greenville passed away April 22, 2005, in a Montgomery hospital. WILLIAMS, Albert Wesley, 89, a resident of 232 S. Conecuh Street, Greenville, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jo Williams and a son, Stephen Williams. Survivors include: wife, Ada Lee Casey Williams, Greenville; sons, Richard Williams, Huntsville, Donald (June) Williams, Chapman, Eddie Williams, St. Petersburg, FL and James L. (Linda) Casey, Mobile; daughters, Becky (Harry) Manning, Chapman, Betty Lou (Harry) Clem, Gulf Shores and Bonita Cseh, Pensacola, FL; sister, Bertha Keebler, Chapman; brother, Kennon Williams, Greenville; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
