Directions: From the intersection of US Highway 31 and Alabama Highway
83 in Evergreen,
Conecuh County, Alabama go north on Alabama Highway 83 for 19 miles.
Just
before reaching the center of the Skinnerton Community of Conecuh/Monroe
Counties the Mount Pleasant Church and Cemetery can be found on the
West side
of Highway 83. An unpaved road called Anthony Circle can be found
directly
across from the church on the East side of Highway 83. Anthony
Circle leads
to an unpaved and unnamed road that branches off to the East.
McCall
Cemetery is approximately 200 yards down this road and on the right
side. It
is surrounded by a fence and is located among a stand of large oak
trees.

The Conecuh Cemetery index list many persons from the following families
as
being buried at McCall: Higdon, Mixon, Brown and McCall.
I personally
viewed stones with the names of Mixon, Brown and Higdon. Many
of the stones
are just simple blank markers or have deteriorated to the point of
being
illegible. Some are broken or have fallen over. As
of May of 2002 the cemetery was heavily overgrown with brush and vines.
