SURNAMES: PRESLEY, SOWELL, WIGGINS
QRYTEXT: I'm interested in learning more about John David PRESLEY's parents (Holden? and ???), siblings, and wife's family. John David, b. about 1817, his wife, Annie Jane WIGGINS, and their children are listed in the 1850 Federal Census of Conecuh County , Alabama. Were John David's parents (Holden? and ??) born in Conecuh County? John David and Annie Jane apparently lived there and had 10 children. Ransom Leander PRESLEY, b. 1861, their last child, was my great-grandfather. He and his wife, Sarah DeLannie SOWELL ,b. 1865, had 13 children, including my grandfather William Hardy PRESLEY. Also, where did the SOWELL and WIGGINS families come from? Sarah's parents were John and Mandy (Amanda?) Ray SOWELL. I don't know who Annie Jane's parents were. I'd also like to discover: 1. Which PRESLEY, WIGGINS, and SOWELL men in my line served in the Civil War? 2. The Revolutionary War? 3. Did my line of PRESLEYs immigrate by way of Ireland, Holland, Germany or directly to America? When?
