As a member of the Army Selective Service, SGT Fields servedour country until May 12th, 1969 in Binh Duong, South Vietnam. He was 22years old and was not married. William died from multiple fragmentationwounds. His body was recovered. William was born on November 20th, 1946 inEvergreen, Alabama.SGT Fields is on panel 25W, line 068 of the Veterans Memorial Wall inWashington D.C. He served our country for one year.
