Nichols, Mrs. Sarah Daphene, 65, a resident of 317 Botts Ave, Troy, AL, died Sunday, February 11, 1996, at her home. Following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 1996, at 11:00 a.m. from Park Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve roscoe officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery, near Brantley with Skeen Funeral Home directing. The body will lie-in-state, at the church, one hour prior to services. Survivors include six children, Buff Nichols, Troy, AL, Lynn Stewart, Pensacola, FL, Don Nichols, Pensacola, FL, Helen Knight, Daleville, AL, Jeff Nichols and Greg Nichols, both of Pensacola; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie walters, Montgomery, AL, Nell Hackney, Eclectic, AL, Marge Gray, Montgomery, AL, and Nina Wiggins, Davenport, AL, one brother, Henry Clayton Jackson, Kenosha, WI, one aunt, Inez Wallace, Troy, AL; several neices and nephews. Mrs. Nichols was proceeded in her death by her husband, Chad Nichols, who died January 22, 1996; her parents, henry Walter and Ruth Rebecca Wallace Jackson; and three brothers, Lamon Jackson, M. G. Jackson and Maxwell Jackson. Mrs. Nichols was a member of the Park United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be gransons and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at skeen funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Mrs. Nichols name, to the American Cancer society, c/o Mary Hiler, 206 Lamar St., Troy, AL 36081.
