Three marked but unnamed graves in the northeastern corner of the cemetery, 
the story is that they were 
trusted slaves and all died from Scarlet fever.

The Richardson/Dean Cemetery in Dale County, Alabama is listed on the Tombstone Transcription Project page but it does not say who submitted the original information of the graves so I cannot ask their permission to use their information. There are 14 graves and I have information on all of them. Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith Dean were my 3X great grandparents. Listed below in (red) is the information that I have on each person:

(Elizabeth H. Dean, 2nd child of Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith Dean - never married)

5. Jarret W. Dean Sept 5, 1835 - Aug 11, 1856 Son of J & R Dean
(Jarret W. Dean, 3rd child of Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith Dean - died at age 21, never married)

(George A. Richardson, 5th child of Henry Littleberry Richardson & Sarah Patience Dean Richardson - died at age 5)


9. Eddie Richardson July 17, 1891 - Aug 16, 1891 Son of HL & SP Richardson
(Edward "Eddie" Richardson, 10th child of Henry Littleberry Richardson & Sarah Patience Dean Richardson - died at age 1 month)


10. Martha M. Dean May 1, 1875 - June 21, 1889 Dau of JJ & LJ Dean
(Martha M. Dean, 5th child of Jabez "Joe" Dean & Lydia Ann "Jane" Gilmore Dean - died at age 14, one day after the death of her sister Eudora)


11. Eudora B. Dean Sept 5, 1878 - June 20, 1889
(Eudora B. Dean, 6th child of Jabez "Joe" Dean & Lydia Ann "Jane" Gilmore Dean - died at age 11, one day before her sister Martha's death)


12. J.C. Richardson Oct 6, 1909 - June 3, 1917
( Jesse Clarence Richardson, 1st child of Charles Oscar Richardson & Emma Clifford Trawick. Charles Oscar was the son of Henry Littleberry Richardson & Sarah Patience Dean - died at age 8)


13. Richardson Infant Mar 15, 1912 - Mar 15, 1912 Inf son of CO & EC Richardson
(Infant son, 3rd child of Charles Oscar Richardson & Emma Clifford Trawick)


14. Vera Paul July 31, 1900 - Oct 14, 1900 Dau of WM & MF Paul
(Vera Paul was daughter of William Paul & Missouri Frances Brown - William Paul was son of Lydia Ann "Jane" Gilmore Paul Dean and her 1st husband John Ross Paul)

My research indicates that all 9 children of Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith are buried in this cemetery, but 4 sons do not appear in this transcription. I have not personally been to this cemetery so I cannot verify whether their graves are there or not.
