HIGHLAND Mrs. Lena Malinda Highland, 80, passed away at her home in Fort Payne, Rt. 2, in the Mr. View community Tuesday at 11:20 a.m. following a lingering illness. A native of Georgia, she had lived in the Mr. View community for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Christian Church. She is survived b five sons; Leroy, Sylvania; Ezra, Maysville, Ga.; Curtis, Crossville; J. B. of Rt. 2, Fort Payne, and Quinton Highland, Rock Springs, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Highfield, Fort Payne, Rt. 2; Mrs. Sue Smith, Branch Port, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Samford Boswell; three sisters; Mrs. Ola Parker, Gainsville, Ga.; Mrs. Bat Jones, Pendergrass, Ga.; Mrs. Clara Tolbert, Commer, Ga. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. from Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard Cook and the Rev. Mr. Thompson officiating. Pallbearers were J. W. Boggs, Grover Tolbert, Willie Lee Parker, Cecil Roswell, Elmer Boswell, J. H. Jones. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
