GREEN, JONES, SOLLIES posted by Eric Green on Monday, March 2, 1998

I am researching info regarding my great grandparents Oscar P. GREEN and his wife Jim (JONES) GREEN daughter of James B.JONES of Valdosta. Oscar and Jim owned a clothing store in Dothan for many years, had one son Benjamin F. GREEN who married Judge SOLLIES daughter from Ozark AL, and her name may have been Martha as we hve some china with the initals M.S.G which we believe stands for Martha Sollie Green. We are also not sure if Sollie is spelled Sallie for sure. I researched the 1900 census for Geneva county and found a Green family with a son Oscar but not sure if its correct the fathers name was Ira GREEN, wife Rellie, and sons Oscar Martin. Hardy, Alva and Shelly. I'm trying to locate info on the family, pictures of the Green family clothing store and some old advertisements from same and trace the Greens on back. any help would be appreciated.
