PNEUMONIA FATAL TO SLATE CHILD

Martha Jane Slate, 10-months-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Lyman Slate died at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home after a four weeks' illness of pneumonia.

Funeral rites were conducted at Bethel at 3 p.m. today by the Rev DeWitt Prince. Burial there was in charge of Drinkard-Howell of Hartselle.

Besides the parents, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Sarah Frances survive.

Pallbearers were Nell Harvel, Jewel Cox, Christine Black and Katherine Gray with the following serving as flower girls: Marthaline Ferguson, Jean Massey, Margaret Compton, Dorothy Kyle, Glory Clements, Jesse Joe Kyle.
