Searching for ancestors of JOHN WEST OR WESLY SHEFFIELD. He is buried at Hopewell Baptist Church. Searching for my grandmother's ancestors. Her name: MINNIE DAVIS married JAMES WALKER (WALTER) SHEFFIELD. SHE DIED 9 OCT 1902. She is buried at Gumsprings Baptist Church. John W. (WEST) SHEFFIELD, JR., served with Company D, 25th Alabama Regiment, Asheville Blues, St. Claire County, AL. I have copies of his roll calls while in service.
