Dr. J.T. Stone has been employed as company physicial by Fairchild Coal Co., at Inland. He will move his family there soon.

R.A. Moody, the well-known architect and builder, of Birmingham; Joe Kerney, of Ensley; J.A. Reiley, of Inland, and Mr. Wheeler, of Birmingham, are in this section hunting.

V. Towers and wife, Ketona; Early Towers and wife, Robert Towers and wife, Richard Towers and wife, Mrs. John Towers and Rev. Mr. Gable, of Bessemer, attended the funeral of John Towers at Liberty cemetery last Thursday.

Will Hare, who recently moved with his mother from Champion to Reeder mines, near Bessemer, was killed in the mines there Thursday. The rope or chain which pulls the cars out broke and the car ran over him. Will was a good clever fellow, liked by all who knew him. We sympathize with the bereaved mother who thought so much of her son Will. The remains will be laid to rest in Chepultepec cemetery to-day.

Woodmen of the World.
A new camp of the Woodmen of the World was organized at Cleveland last Saturday night by deputy sovereign, W.T. Williamson, of East Lake, with eighteen members. Officers: W.H. Brown, Sov. Commander; J.A. Tidwell, Adv. Lieut.; L.Q. Box, Clerk; H.R. Denton, Banker; E.L. Dover, Escort; J.H. McCoy, Watchman; Grover Blair, Centry; H.B. Richards, Walter Dean and A.L. Head, Managers.

Jim Witt Coming
Jim Witt, the famous ventriloquist will be at the Court House with his clean little show next Tuesday night. Mr. Witt has been to Oneonta a number of times and always delights his audience with his innocent fun.
