D. J.H. Martin and wife of Springville spent Monday night in Oneonta with Dr. Martin's parents.

We are sorry to learn that Mrs. H.L. Martin have been very sick for several days.

Mr. David Hood and family and Rev. S.C. Allgood attended the funeral of Uncle Andy Hood near Royal Sunday.

The government has failed to get a bid on the mail route from Oneonta to Hancock. Bids will be received until Mar. 1st.

The Semi-Annual Report, the Mayor's Report, the Proceedings of Commissioner's Court, and political matter has crowded our correspondents out this week.

Mrs. Frank Ruder and little son Louie who have been with Mrs. Robinett for some time, left Tuesday for Bessemer where they will make their home.

Mr. John Patterson, aged about 50 years, died near Hanceville, a few days ago with consumption. He formerly resided at Blountsville.
