There are indications that there will be a flood of fictitious search warrants issued by the liquor people of Alabama in many sections of the State during the closing days of the campaign. We call the attention of our readers to this that they may be prepared for any reports of this kind.

Rev. D.D. Head was given a "pounding" last Wednesday afternoon by some of the good people of Oneonta. He may not have received the Thanksgiving turkey but his pantry is well supplied with many good things.

Work has begun on a new depot for Oneonta, which has been badly needed for some time. The town as well as the traveling public will be greatly benefited.

Our old friend F.A. Allbrittain, of North Birmingham, and Mrs. Sallie J. Taylor of near Blountsville, were married at the Gutherie hotel, Oneonta, on November 17, Judge Kelton officiating. Mr. Allbrittain is well-known in Oneonta, being Mrs. J.T. Stone's father and brother of Mrs. S.W. Gutherie. After spending a few days in Blount they left for their home at North Birmingham. We extend congratulations to the happy couple.
