Grace Pearl Blackwood Submitted by Diane Bryant The Southern Democrat (18 Apr 1963) Mrs. A.B. Blackwood Mrs. Grace Pearl Blackwood, 80, of route one Cleveland passed away April 14 at her residence. A member of Dailey's Chapel Church, she was the daughter of the late Butler and Mary Word O'Shields of Dekalb County. Surviving besides her husband, A. B. Blackwood, are six daughters, Mrs. Danie Posey and Mrs. Kate Pate of route 3 Blountsville, Miss Ora Blackwood, Mrs. Bessie Robertson, and Mrs. Bertie Pate all of route one Cleveland, and Mrs. Lou Grigsby of route four Knoxville, Tenn., one brother, Luther O'Shields of Collinsville; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted April 15 at two o'clock from Hall Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Dewey Giles and Alton Faust. Interment was in Mt. Joy Cemetery with Lemley in charge of arrangements.
