ANDERSON BLACKWOOD DEAD

Mr. Anderson Backwood, one of Blount's best citizens, died suddenly with paralysis at his home, Five Points, July 17th, 1923. This good old citizen, neighbor and friend was 70 years old the day before he died and was a member of the M.E. Church, South for the past fifty years.

The deceased is survived by his widow and five children and was a brother of out townsman, E.N. Blackwood, Tax Collector of Blount County.

The funeral services and interment were at Stephens cemetery, near Five Points, conducted by Revs. J.H. Pass and T.B. Nations.
