James Burnum Submitted by Robin Sterling The Blount County Journal, 27 Feb 1914 Death of Jas. Burnum Mr. James Burnum, aged about 74 years, died at his home at Chepultepec last Friday morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Burnum was born at Arkadelphia. He moved to Chepultepec some 45 years ago, where he resided up to the time of his death. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church and a good christian man. In his death Blount county loses a most excellent citizen. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. M.M. Crow and S.C. Allgood.
