C. F. Blackwood dies at Cedartown, Georgia

Claude F. Blackwood, age 42, and a former citizen of this county Died at his home in Cedartown, Georgia, Sunday. The cause of his death was paralysis. He suffered a stroke Saturday afternoon and never regained consciousness before the end came.

Mr. Blackwood was the son of the late D.R. and Mrs. Anna Blackwood Of Cleveland, leaving that place some 20 odd years ago.

He was a man of many fine traits of character and was held in high esteem by his many friends. He was a member of the Methodist Church. The deceased is survived by his mother Mrs. Anna Blackwood of Cleveland, his widow, 3 sons, Claude, Jr., William Ben, and Jack Blackwood, one daughter, Mary Eilene Blackwood, all of Cedartown, Georgia; two brothers, E.F. and E.E. Blackwood of Cleveland; 7 sisters, Mrs. C.L. Strock of Verbena, Mrs. J. B. Burson, Mrs. W.P. Stone of Gadsden, Mrs. W.B. Walker of Oneonta, Mrs. Norman Fendley of Marion, Mrs. John Braswell of Cleveland, and Miss Loraine Blackwood of Cleveland.

Burial was at Cedartown last Monday.
