Riley Clements Submitted by Robin Sterling The Blount County Journal, 11 Jan 1918 Aged Man Dies Riley Clements, an aged and highly esteemed citizen of route 2, Oneonta, died suddenly at his home on route 2, Oneonta, Tuesday. The deceased had been a sufferer of dropsy for several months and on Tuesday as he sat down on the bed he dropped away, his soul taking its flight to the better world. The deceased was a good man and hones in his dealings with all. He was about 72 years old and was well and favorable known in the County having spent his life here. He will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived.
