Mrs. Margarette Cornelius Dead
Mrs. Margarette Cornelius, mother of Mrs. D.D. Head, of this place, died at her home at Five Points Sunday morning. She had been suffering with heart trouble several months and it was this that caused her death. She was 70 years of age, having celebrated her seventieth birthday on June 28th. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church, a christian whose sincerity was never doubted; she was always found in her place doing her duty as she saw in the church and in the community. She leaves two daughters and four sons to mourn her death. The interment took place at the family cemetery near her home, the services being conducted by Rev. Joseph Herring.
