Mrs. Drusilla C. Robinett Submitted by Diane Bryant THE SOUTHERN DEMOCRAT (25 Jul 1929) Mrs. Robinett Dies Mrs. Drusilla C. Robinett, widow of the late James A. Robinett, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Wilder, at Locust Fork at an early hour Saturday morning. Mrs. Robinett was 80 years of age and had been in ill heath for several years. She had been a helpless invalid for the past five or six months. Mrs. Robinett spent the greater part of her life in Blount County. She and her husband, who died about three years ago, were both born in the same community in Cherokee County, Ga. Both families moved to Blount County at about the same time when the children were small. They settled in different communities and were not thrown together again until a short time before they married in the early part of 1873. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Mt. Joy near Cleveland, and was a noble Christian character. It has been said of her that she was so smooth tempered that if she ever became vexed or irritated she hid it all with a smile and no one ever knew she was angry. The deceased is survived by four sons, W.J. Robinett, of Locust Fork; J.C. Robinett, of Tarrent; G.L. Robinett , of Oneonta and J.O. Robinett, of Birmingham; four daughters, Mrs. J. M. Wilder, of Locust Fork; Mrs. H.T. Patterson, of Shermah, Texas; Mrs. I.R. Killough, of Pinson, and Mrs. M.B. Gipson, of Oneonta; also twenty-eight grandchildren (14 boys and 14 girls) and eleven great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held at Pine Bluff church and were conducted by Rev. W.F. Tidwell and Rev. J.B. Horton, the interment taking place in the adjoining cemetery.
