D.R. Timmerman Dies at Home
On Sunday morning, Dec. 21, David Rensom Timmerman, 71, passed away at his home, on Rt. 3, Blountsville, after an extended illness.
A native of Blount County, he lived at Royal and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. Timmerman. He was a prominent farmer and a leading member of the Church of the Advent.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Espey, were held at Royal Church of the Advent, Monday, December 22. Burial was in Hood's cemetery, Chambers Brown Service in charge.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Cornelia Timmerman; two sons, Austin W, and W. C. Timmerman, both of Rt. 3, Blountsville; two daughters, Mrs. Emmie Williams, Rt. 1, Horton, and Mrs. Dicie Prickett, Pepperville, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe and Tobe Timmerman, Rt. 3, Blountsville.
