Mr. Ellis Clowdus died at his home three miles east of Oneonta last Saturday and was buried in Liberty Cemetery Sunday. He was 82 years of age and was one of the pioneer settlers of this county. He lived on the farm where he died for sixty years and was the only man in Murphree's Valley from Village Springs to Walnut Grove that could claim that distinction.
