Fred Engler Dead
On May 21st, occurred the death of Fred Engler at his home near Trafford, at which place he had resided until about a year ago when he moved to Birmingham. In the hopes of benefiting his health, the family returned to the county about two months ago, but all efforts of physicians, relatives and friends were of no avail and he passed away after an illness of about four weeks. Deceased is survived by his wife, his son Chester and daughter, Miss Haidee, of Trafford, and the following children who reside in Ohio: Charles, of Leavittsburg, Mrs. Peter Overmeyer, of Oak Harbor; Mrs. George W. Rock, of Clyde and Mrs. Charles McCartney and Mrs. William Willmonth, of Sandusky. The funeral services were conducted by Revs. Sol Hays and John Faucett, at Reid's Chapel with interment in Sargent cemetery, Lige Loy being in charge of the funeral. Deceased had resided at the place where he died for the past twelve years with the exception of a short period spent in Birmingham. He was loved and respected by a large circle of friends and neighbors and will be greatly missed.
