Obituary
G.P. Posey, one of the oldest citizens of that section of the county, died at his home near Blountsville Tuesday. He had been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Posey was 84 years of age and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
The deceased is survived by five sons, T.W. Posey and G.K. Posey, of Blountsville; V.B. Posey and Warren Posey , of Tampa, Fla.; and G.P. Posey, Jr., of Memphis, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. W.F. Dailey, of Winfield and Mrs. Whaley, of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, A.C. Posey, of Village Springs, and one sister, Mrs. W.A. Goodwin of Birmingham.
The funeral services were held at Austin Creek cemetery Wednesday and were conducted by Rev. M.T. Kirkland with Wade directing.
