Capt. Jesse E. Murphree Submitted by Robin Sterling The Southern Democrat, 27 Aug 1903 Capt. Jesse E. Murphree, aged 70 years, died at his home at Walnut Grove last Saturday. He was afflicted with consumption and his death has been expected for some time. Several Oneonta people attended the funeral Sunday.
