Good Woman Dead
On Friday, June 12th, the death angel visited the home of "Uncle" Jim Tidwell and took from him his beloved wife and bore her spirit to the God who gave it. Aunt Matilda M. Tidwell suffered a stroke of paralysis last week, which resulted in her death a few days later. She was a good Christian woman and had been a member of the Methodist church since childhood. We hate so bad to give up this good woman. She will be missed so badly at home and in the community in which she lived and was loved by those who knew her. But God blessed us with her presence for 67 years. We should be reconciled as she was ready to meet God. The bereaved family has the sympathy of many friends. The funeral was held at Old Liberty cemetery Saturday and was conducted by Revs. H.C. Bradley and A.J. Brand.
