Mrs. I.T. Stephens Dead
Mrs. Nan Stephens, wife of I.T. Stephens, died at the Birmingham infirmary, Monday night after undergoing an operation for gall stone. She was operated on Sunday and revived after the operation. Monday afternoon her condition became more serious and death came at 11 o’clock.
The deceased had been sick for only a few days and few people in Oneonta knew of her serious illness until the news came that she was dead.
The funeral services were held at the County Line, her old home, and were conducted by Revs. L.A. Nall and John Calvert.
The deceased was about 57 years of age and was a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband and several children.
