Sam Smith Submitted by Robin Sterling The Blount County Journal, 25 Jan 1918 Aged Man Dead Mr. Sam Smith, aged about 74 years, died at his home a few miles from Blountsville Saturday. The deceased had been a resident of Blount county nearly all his life and was well and favorably known. He united with the Baptist church many years ago and was a faithful member. The remains were laid to rest in Rock Springs cemetery.
