Mrs. Eliza Staton The Southern Democrat, 10 Dec 1931 Mrs. Eliza Staton Dead Hayden, Ala., Dec. 7th—Mrs. Eliza Staton, age 76 years, died at the home of her son, Ben Staton, Bangor, route 1, of cancer of the stomach after being in declining health for the past 12 months. Mrs. Staton spent the greater part of her life in the Dutton Town community, where she had many friends. She is survived by 5 sons and 3 daughters as follows: Ben Staton, Johnnie Staton, Willie Staton, of Bangor route 1, Jack Staton of Hayden and M.M. Staton, of Brilliant, Ala.; Mrs. Hester Johnson of Sibleyville, Mrs. Lettie Johnson of Bangor route 1, and Mrs. Sallie Hogland, or near Oneonta. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Moody, of Cullman and interment in the Oak Grove Cemetery Sunday afternoon.
