State Of Alabama - Butler County

Your petitioner Martha A Cooper, widow and relict of John E.Cooper, deceased respectfully represents that said deceased died in this county leaving his will and testament which has been established as the last will and testament of said deceased by the  proper (?) and that Samuel Cooper was appointed Executor of said will and has duly qualified as such.  Your petitioner would further represent that said Samuel Cooper Executor as aforesaid does not and has not supplied your petitioner and her family with necessary provisions and suited to their conditions in life and that when said executor has furnished any provisions or necessaries that it has been done more like making an allowance to slaves, your petitioner therefore prays that for said cause that said Samuel Cooper may be removed from his said office as Executor as aforesaid and that he may be compelled to make a final settlement of his accounts as such Executor and as in duly bound your petitioner will ever pray etc. November 12th 1859
