Robert Reid was the son of George Reid and Margaret Chambers. His second wife (first died without issue) was Susannah Stallings.  Susannah was the daughter of Malachi Stallings and Martha Moseley.  Robert died in Georgia and Susannah married a Mr. Lane there.   They came to Alabama with all of her Reid children and had many more children.  Her father died in Greene County, GA, and never came to Alabama.

Robert R. Reid

• b. December 04, 1809, Putnam county, Georgia
• m. Priscilla Manning
• d. September 12, 1903, Troy, Alabama, not 1904 as is written on his tombstone.

Robert R. Reid was the son of Robert and Susannah Stallings. Priscilla Manning was the daughter of Elijah Manning and Lydia Little.  She was born 1813 in Edgecombe County, North Carloina and died June 12, 1872 in Greenville, Alabama.
