They lived in Anniston from around 1880 until around 1910 before retiring to Glencoe. Any information, especially about William Marshall FRANKS' parents, will be greatly appreciated.

TERRY-BOWLING-OVERBY I am searching for DAVID TERRY and Hetha BOWLING married in Calhoon Co. Alabama in 1852. They had four children before Hetha died in Richview Illinois. David TERRY was born 1825 in De Kalb co. Georgia and was on the census there until 1850. I show him having owning land on Kemps Creek in Ala. in the 1850s, I am trying to find anybody with info. reguarding Davids parents and siblings. David remarried in 1866 to Delila OVERBY in Jefferson Co. Ill. Together they had three children before he died Janurary 28, 1872 in Jefferson Co. Ill. Delila died Janurary 17, 1881. I would appreciate any info. I can get on Davids ancestors. As well as Hethas' and Delilahs'.

William McCall BLAIR: born 3/30/1828 Washington co., Tenn. Married (1) Mary Ann KIRBY 8/17/1848 in Benton (Calhoun) co., Ala. (2) Sarah E. EMBRY ("Sallie") on 7/20/1865. He died at home in Moody, Tx. on 5/22/1904 and is buried with 2nd wife at Moody cemetery. William fought in Company D of the 51st Alabama Cavalry in Civil War (also called "Dudley's Home Rangers"). One source lists him as William McBlair by mistake. William's parents were John BLAIR and Margaret McCALL ("Peggy"). Wm. and Mary had the following children: Serelda Ann (Marelda; Eralda) 1851; Margaret Jane, 1853; William S., 1855; Robert Thomas, 1858; Mary Caroline, 1861; Molly; (boy who died at age 17); and John G. William and Sallie had the following children: Hugh Orlando, 1868; Annie, 1870. Mary Ann Kirby's parents were Thomas Hawkins and Nancy C. KIRBY (she was Thomas' cousin). I'm interested in any info. on either family and will be glad to share the info. I've collected over the years.

AKRIDGE - Looking for anyone working on the William or Wesly AKRIDGE families of Calhoun County. My Great Great Grandmother was Mary Frances AKRIDGE, her father was William who died in the Civil War. Mary Frances married Absolom Byrd WALKER in 1877. Mary Frances had two sisters Camilla who never married and Emma who married a LITTLE and one brother John W. AKRIDGE. This family came to AL from GA in the 1850s.

Sterling PRICE was born 1769 in VA and married Mary FREEMAN in Greensville County, VA in 1791. He was in Rutherford County, NC by 1799 when he purchased property, and he sold that same property in 1807 prior to his move to south GA. Sterling PRICE was in Pike County, AL by 1830 and in Benton (later Calhoun County), AL by 1850. Sterling PRICE and his wife died in Calhoun County after 1850. His children included Sterling Ruffin PRICE, George Washington PRICE, Benjamin Franklin PRICE, Goolsby PRICE, and perhaps Bluford PRICE. Descendents of Sterling PRICE migrated to AR, especially Hempstead County, and also to TX and OK. Any information about this family would be greatly welcomed.
