Carnathan Cemetery

Choctaw County, AL

This cemetery is an abandoned cemetery which is located on the Saw Mill Road, near Mt. Sterling, AL. The following markers were moved from this site and placed in the Carnathan plot in the Butler Cemetery, by family members. Information contributed by Ms. Velma H. Clolinger, a Carnathan descendent.

There is a built up brick Crypt remaining there along with several more stones. The Crypt is that of Martha Cobb Coleman and first husband, Wiley Coleman.

Martha C. Coleman later married Robert Hill. His marker is also found in the Carnathan plot in the Butler Cemetery.
