Albert and Arthur Coleman

This is a photo of Albert Coleman and his grandson Arthur in Pennington, Alabama about 1905. Albert was born into slavery between 1842-1848 (age varies in Census records). According to oral family history, in slavery he belonged to 3 different families. The McNeeley's, another unknown, and last, the Coleman's and he took the Coleman surname. His brother Allen kept the McNeeley name.
