I Thomas Nordan, of the county of Choctaw in the State of Alabama, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others of prior or former date by me heretofore made.First. I desire that all my just debts and funeral expense be paid as early as possible after my death.
Secondly. I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary C. Nordan, all my real estate and personal property of every kind and description, all monies on hand at my death and all _________ in action, after the payment of my debts to belong to her absolutely and to her heirs and assigns forever.
Thirdly. I hereby appoint my friend Henry J. T. Mose my executor to carry out the provisions of this my last Will and Testament and ask him to accept the trust but in the event he should decline to act, I then appoint my wife, Mary C., my executrix, and desire that she may be permitted to qualify without bond and security.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of August A.D. 1863.
