According to widow's pension file, Francis William Parsons was superintendent of schools at Tuscumbia at the time of his death. Was there a newspaper published there at that time, and where might it be available on microfilm for interlibrary loan? While not a native of the community, his death probably was noted because of his position. I am not enrolled in the Colbert Co. list, so please respond to greermac at aol.com. Thanks!

    I am seeking information about Eben Lee. He married Eunice Levonia Flannagan in Tuscambia, Colbert County, Alabama on June 4, 1930. I have the original marriage license. Eunice was my mother.
    I do not believe that there were any children of the marriage, but am seeking any information available, possibly the date and place of their divorce. He may have been a prize fighter during that time period.

    I am looking for information on the Thomas Clark Garrett and Mary Lulla
Wyman family that settled in Sheffield Colbert County Alabama and raised
their family until their deaths . Mary died 1 April 1955 in Sheffield
and Thomas (sometimes called T C) died 16 Sept 1956 in Sheffield . They
are at the Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield along with 2 sons and 3
daughters. Thomas was the only son of Alexander W Jarrett (Thomas always
carried the name Garrett and not Jarrett as his dad mom and sisters and
grandparents) and Elizabeth Minerva Fleming. Thomas was born in
Tennessee as was Mary. Mary was the second daughter of Bolivar Wyman and
Sina Jane Cordell.
   I am looking for marriage information on Thomas and Mary I know they
wed March 27 1905 I just don't know if they married in Alabama or if
they married in Tennessee. Any records or direction you can point me
will be a big help. I am a great granddaughter in-law to Thomas and Mary
and I am doing this so our children will know some about the family.

and James W. (Jim) Johnson. These were my Mom's parents. They were living
in Tuscumbia, AL when my Mom's mother died. My mom was around 7 yrs. old at
the time. My Mom was born 1903-1904.She was the oldest child. She was the oldest of 4
children. Her father worked for the railroad.
   Edna Pearl Johnson, Cooper Wheeler Johnson, Cordell Johnson, Wade
Younger daughter-I don't know her name. She died the same year as their
Mother.
Would greatly appreciate any info that anyone has about the family members.
