JOHN D. BETHUNE

Mr. John D. Bethune, 73, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 in an Evergreen hospital. He was a native and life-long resident of Castleberry. He was a member of Castleberry Methodist Church and retired from Container Corporation after 36 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Calloway) Bethune of Castleberry; two sons, Larry Bethune of Jackson, ala and Rusty Bethune of Castleberry; two daughters, Sharon Jones and Angela Dixon of Castleberry; three sisters, Annie Jo Holmes of Fairhope, Rosalie bell of Lenox and Jessie Ruth Godwin of Castleberry; seven grandchildren and nine great - greandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Craver;s Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Godbee and Rev. Adam Armstrong officiating. Burial followed at Hlland Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Pallbears were Don Knolton, Michael Osban, Shon Dixon, Christ Godwin, Johnathon Bethune, Johnny Snider, Terry Godwin, Earl Ball, Blake Godwin and Will Godwin.
