Verna L. Mellinger, 93, of Pensacola.Fla. died Saturday , March 23, 1996 in Azalea Trace.

Mrs. Mellinger was a native of Alabama and lived in Evergreen most of her life. She had resided in Pensacola for the past 10 years.

Funeral services were held Tureday, March 26, 1996 at 2 pm from the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Holmes officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Cemetery, Cope Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers were Hugh Barrow, Mel Beasley, Tomy Braxton, Alton Henderson and Jones Sasser.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Wells and son-in-law , Peter Wells, Pensacola, Fla. ; two grandchildren, Keith Wells, Pensacola, Fla and Gina Gillespie and husband, Mark of Denver, Co.; three great grandchildren, Kelsey, Heidi and Luke Gillespie, all of Denver, Co.
