Mrs. Lucy Kate Varner , 76, died Tuesday, june 29, 2004 in a Pensacola (fla) hospital. She was a native of Coneuch County and a resident of Castleberry.
she is survived by three sons, Larry L. Varner and Roland L. Varner Jr., both of Appleton and James H. Varner of Brewton, two daughters, Mary L. Varner and linda V. Hall, both of Brewton, a brother, Rudolph Lucas of New Orleans, a sister, Anne Lee Weaver, sever grendchildren an six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday , july 2 at 2 PM at the Cope Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Earl Wilson officiating. Burial followed at L. Pond Cemetery with Cope Funeral directing.
