Three marked but unnamed graves in the northeastern corner of the cemetery,
the story is that they were
trusted slaves and all died from Scarlet fever.

The Richardson/Dean Cemetery in Dale
County, Alabama is listed on the Tombstone Transcription Project page but it
does not say who submitted the original information of the graves so I cannot
ask their permission to use their information. There are 14 graves and I have
information on all of them. Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith Dean were my 3X great
grandparents. Listed below in (red) is the information that I have on each

My research indicates that all 9 children of Jesse R. Dean & Rebecca Smith are
buried in this cemetery, but 4 sons do not appear in this transcription. I have
not personally been to this cemetery so I cannot verify whether their graves are
there or not.
