Isaac was in Jackson County in 1821. Believed to be in Marion County Tennessee prior to 1835. Isaac and Narcissa have several children: George Washington Cooper born 4 Feb 1836 Tennessee, Gerne Cooper (f) born 1838, James C. Cooper born 28 Mar 1840, Thomas Richard Cooper born 1842. Family moved to Newton County Arkansas by 1845. Property in Lebanon was purchased by Gaines Blevins. James Cooper of Wayne County, Kentucky believed to be father of Isaac. James married a Blevins in Wayne County circa 1815. Lucretia is found in 1850 census near George Washington Cooper's farm in Newton County Arkansas. LUMPKIN - HOUSTONI would like to know if anyone knows anything about William Russell Rice Lumpkin and Catherine Houston. Who were William's parents? I know that he was born in Georgia due to census reports. Also that William and Catherine married in Dekalb County Alabama on 7-12-1843 by Justice of the Peace William Withrow. The record I found was mutilated but had enough information to be able to be read although the spelling of Lumpkin was spelled Lumkin and Houston was Huston. Clue was Wm. R.R. MAHAFFEY - MEHAFFEY -MAHAFFYHoping to correspond with others who are researching Mahaffey ancestors (or any related spellings). My ancestors lived in Dekalb County Alabama, from about 1835 until about 1900 in the Head Spring area. Other Mahaffeys lived in the surrounding area that I do not know much about. WRIGHT - KIRTLAND - KIRKLAND -BROWNI am interested in information relating to the surnames listed. I am trying to find the ancestors of James A. Wright who married Elizabeth Culbert (nee Armstrong) in 1864. There is a James A Wright listed in the family of James and Mourning Wright in the 1860 Dekalb County Census. He and Elizabeth are buried in the Mount Moriah cemetery in Marshall County. Am also interested in the ancestors of George H Kirtland (the Kirtlands and Kirklands may be interchangeable). There is a Delilia Kirkland with a son, George H. in the Marshall County census for 1850 and a Delilia Kirkland in the Dekalb County 1860 census. George H. married Frances Jones and they are both buried at Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery which is close to Grove Oak in Dekalb County. John E. and Ann E Connally-Young had 2 children in Marshall County, Alabama. Lula and Gordon and are on the 1880 Marshall County Census. Cassey Young lived with John E, Ann E Young and the children. In 1882 the family migrated to Central Texas and settled in Alvarado, Johnson County, Texas and are found on the 1900 Alvarado, Johnson County, Texas Census with Lula, Gordon, Emma, Annie, Pinkie (my grandmother) and John E.
