Bowman, 25, of Fort Payne who was killed on Luzon Island Jan. 18, 1945, was held today (Wed.) at 2:00 p.m. at Walker's Chapel with full military honors. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Bowman; two daughters, Jo Ann and Tomy Fay Bowman, all of Fort Meade, Fla.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowman, Fort Payne; three brothers, Orbie, Rossville, Ga.; Charles, of Fort Payne and Winston, Fort Payne; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Lee Bennett, Lindale, Ga.; Mrs. Katie L. Hall, Calhoun, Ga.; Misses Florence and Mittie Bowman, Fort Payne; two half brothers, Hershel Bowman, Fort Payne, and Thos. N. Bowman, Atlanta; six half sisters, Mrs. Lula Williams, Atlanta; Mrs. Bessie Wade, Fort Payne; Mrs. Bertha Flanagan, Atlanta; Mrs. Pauline Jordan, Coletewah, Tenn.; Mrs. Oneder Cooper, Chattanooga, Mrs. Beatrice Highfield, Menlo, Ga. Burial was in Walker's Chapel cemetery with V.F.W. Post 3128 and National Guard Co. C. 151st Combat Eng. officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
