PVT. J. W. DAVIS Military funeral services for Pvt. Joseph W. Davis, of Fort Payne, Rt. 2, who was woulnded in Corno, Italy, Nov. 8, 1943 and died Nov. 10, 1943, in North Africa, during World War II, will be held agt Mt. Hermon Thursday at 2:00 p.m., with the Fort Payne Post Nol 3128 V.F.W. and Cco. C. 151st Combat Engineers, National Guard, officiating. Pvt. Davis enterd the service Dec. 12, 1942. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Davis, Fort Payne, Rr. 2; four brothers, Arthur, Johnny, Alonzo and Wesley Davis, Fort Payne, Rt. 2. Interment will be in Mt. Hermon cemetery with Pierce Funeral Home in charge. The body arrived Tuesday night and was carried to Pierce Funeral Home to await the time for funeral services.
