Howard Roland Gentry, World War II veteran, of Henagar, will arrive in Fort Payne Thursday at 5:46 p.m. He entered the service Oct. 20, 1942 and sailed overseas Dec. 5, 1943. He was killed Nov. 18, 1944 in Germany. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gentry, Rt.1, Henagar; one brother, Herbert; four sisters, Mrs. Mozell Qualls, Rt.1, Henager; Mrs. Clarence Newman, Chavies; Mrs. Carl Millier, Chattanooga; Mrs. Monroe Browder, Henager. Funeral services will be held at Burnt Church Friday afternoon at 2:00, with full military honors furnished by Fort Payne V.F.W. Post 3128 and Fort Payne National Guard Co. C, 151st Combat Engineers. Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
