DOVER HAMMOND Funeral services for Pfc. Dover H. Hammond, son of Hoer J. Hammond, of Fyffe, Rt. 1, who was killed in action in the European theatre of war March 10, 1946, will be held Friday, Dec. 12 at the Highway Church of God at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. L. J. Ashley and Rev. John Hartline will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his father; step-mother, Mrs. Homer Hands, Fyffe, Rt. 1; five brothers, Ernest, Pless, Gordon, Belcher, and Russell Hammond, of Fyffe; five sisters, Mrs. Hattie Buffington. Rising Fawn, Ga.; Mrs. Ruby Trix, Mrs. Opie Kemmons, Mrs. Kinney Kemmons, Fyffe; Mrs. Iver Shores, Dawson; his grandmother, Mrs. Georgann Hammond, of Sylvania. The body will arrive in Fort Payne Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 10th. Pierce and Stone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
