Harper, 22, who was killed in Italy May 14, 1944, were held at Walker's Chapel today (Wed.) at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Isom Greenwood officiating. Harper entered the service in November, 1942. he attended the schools of DeKalb County, and was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cleo Harper; his parents, Rev. and Mrs. H. H. Harper; two brothers, Howard and Jimmy; four sisters, Mrs. Herbert Evans, Misses Margaret, Doris and Barbara Jean Harper; grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Harper, all of Fort Payne, Rt. 4. Burial was in Walker's Chapel cemetery, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge. the fellow schoolmates were pallbearers: L. V. Burt, Hoyt Burt, Herbert Evans, Roland Evans, R. C. Ledbetter, Lamar Wills, Woodrow Vaughn, Hubert Akins.
