John Thomas DILLARD, son of William C. DILLARD and Lucinda PERRY, was born 5 Dec 1870 in Georgia and died 12 Apr 1951 in Lexington, OK.
John married Hilda HOOD, who was born about 1871 in Georgia. They had one child, Annie, who died when about 7 years old. They eventually migrated to Fayette County, settling in the Bluff community near John's family ~ including brothers Sanders, William (Whitt), and Henry DILLARD, and sister Louella.
John and Hilda had eight more chldren, all born in Fayette County: John Jr., Alline, Ruth, Cammie, Lucile, Lois, Rueben, and Oliver (Buck) DILLARD.
With the exception of Alline, who married Mose SUDDUTH of Tuscaloosa Co., AL, the whole family removed to Cleveland Co., OK around 1921.
The photographs below are in the possession of my second cousin, Hortense DODSON DOWDLE, of Washington, OK. They were found in a box that she inherited from her mother, Ruth DILLARD DODSON, the daughter of John and Hilda DILLARD and the wife of Bass DODSON from Winfield, AL.
