| Gibson Hill Cemetery Decoration Day Sunday May 18, 2008 Decorating Day for Gibson Hill (Willcutt Chapel) Cemetery is held the 3rd Sunday in May and is largely attended by the UPTON family. It is a tradition that is still going strong - they picnic and play the guitar and it really is like a family reunion. Families come from many states for this event each year. |

John William Moore and Nancy Duncan Moore or any other family connections John William Moore brought all his family in ox wagons from Sugar Valley, Georgia, to Alabama in 1858. He bought land and settled just west of Belk in Lamar (now Fayette) County. Children of John William and Nancy
