"In
the old cemetery, right after passing the church on the left,
there are two old graves for adults
and one for a child (above).
These were covered by slabs of rock
to make a triangular covering.
One of the old graves has one slab
still standing.
These two are my
great-great-grandparents, Archibald and Mary Chaney Kirkland.
A few years ago, I had a marker
installed just in front of the old stones in order to identify them
(below)."
